Privacy Policy

Imposter is a pass-and-play party word game. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app and its word generation features.

Information we do not require

Imposter does not require an account, password, profile, payment method, contact list, camera access, microphone access, or precise location to play.

Information handled during gameplay

The app may use gameplay settings such as selected language, category, difficulty, player count, and recently played words to create a round. Player names and game choices are intended for local gameplay on your device.

AI word generation

Some rounds may request a generated word or translation from a server-side generation service. Those requests can include gameplay settings such as language, category, difficulty, player count, and recently played words. Do not enter personal information as a player name or gameplay value.

Technical information

Hosting providers, backend providers, and app stores may process standard technical information such as IP address, device type, app version, request time, and diagnostic logs to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How information is used

Information is used to provide the game, generate or translate round content, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and improve reliability.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help host the app, run backend services, generate words, or distribute the app through app stores.

Children

Imposter is designed as a group party game and is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact support so it can be reviewed.
